Improving my draft

The Rehoming offline edit

I felt that my draft film trailer prior to any editing lacked context therefore I aim to film a few more clips to add before just so that it will have a bit more structure. I aim to add a lot of the audio and sound effects whilst editing as the original lacks the atmosphere I'm looking for in a horror trailer, furthermore other things such as people talking in the background and wind have decreased the quality of the original audio. Sound effects I am thinking about using to improve the trailer are thing such as footsteps, dragging, certain car noises like engine start, heartbeat, static etc. Music will be quite prominent as I believe it will be a key part of adding suspense and depth into my trailer whilst keeping it simplistic and not revealing too much. I will crop parts of my videos as some parts are unnecessary or too long and therefore take away from the tense theme I'm aiming for. Other things I would like to add are effects to slightly change exposure of the video clips, this is because a few were filmed at night and are too dark, other effects are things like pitch of the audio clips in order for them to sound scarier to the audience and I will change speed/duration of clips, this will have the effect of almost acting like a jump scare because of how quick the clip is displayed.  Finally a key part of the trailer that is missing and I will add is the title which will display 'The Rehoming', the title is key in any trailer as it gives insight into what the trailer or film is about the majority of the time.
